Alton Community Coalition For Youth 2011 PROJECT www.accfy.org/2011Project The specific goal of the 2011 PROJECT is to ensure that every student who entered the ninth grade in the fall of 2007 will graduate from High School in 2011. In support of this effort, organizations and individuals in the community are working to establish and provide: Early warning systems to identify and support struggling students. Adult Advocates working to improve communication between educators and the community. Tutors and Mentors for students to ensure their success in academic and community activities. Increased involvement of Parents and Guardians in the education of their children. Although the 2011 PROJECT is focused on students who will graduate in the year 2011, the efforts and services are designed to help every child in the community.
