For Youth 2011 PROJECT How to
Help
Individuals
and groups can participate in many ways: - Become
an adult advocate and help educators and the community to connect to improve
student progress. - Form
“community teams” to adopt a student or group of students until completion of
high school. - Hold
after-school or evening classes in churches or other community facilities. -
Become a tutor or mentor. -
Provide job training or internship opportunities. - Find
ways to involve students in helping educators to relate instruction to real
life. -
Provide information and assistance to students regarding scholarships and
student aid. To join
this community effort, see the 2011 PROJECT Focus Group Directory
