For Youth 2011 PROJECT Meeting Schedule Community Concerns What is the Alton Community Coalition For Youth (ACCFY)? ACCFY is a network of area residents
working together to address complex issues that affect the entire community.
The purpose of the network is to promote collaborative planning and program
implementation by organizations and individuals that provide services for
youth. Members of the network believe that more can be accomplished by
encouraging existing organizations to focus on a shared goal and identifying
ways to work together on matters of concern to everyone in the community
rather than working separately or in a fragmented manner.
What is the 2011 PROJECT? The ACCFY recognizes that education is
basic to everything that individuals contribute to their communities. When
students drop out of school, they hurt not only themselves and their
families, they hurt the entire community. The 2011 PROJECT is a community-wide
